About

Carrum Sailing and Motor Boat Club is the perfect place for sailing, paddling and motor boating on the eastern shores of Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay. It is truly the best kept secret on the bay.

History

The Patterson River Motor Yacht Club was formed in 1946.

In the 1960s, after 20 years of successful operation, it was decided to split the club into the Patterson River Motor Boat Club and the Carrum Sailing Club. These two clubs continued for the next 50 years operating completely independently of each other.

In 2012 season the decision was made by both club to reunite under the title of the Carrum Sailing and Motor Boat Club.

This reunification was formalised in 2019 with the approval of a new constitution for the CSMBC representing the interests of all boating enthusiasts from the Carrum region - whether they be powered by wind, motor or paddle.
